REGISTRATION INFORMATION

New Student Registration for 2026-27

For the 2026 - 2027 school year,  Soraya Hafez School is full in planned classes from Kindergarten to Grade 6 in the regular program. A Kindergarten student who is a resident and lives in the school's attendance area may still register. We will only accept resident students in Grades 1 to 6 whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have newly moved into the school’s attendance areas for the regular program. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enrol in another Division school with space in planned classes.

If you are registering for Kindergarten or are new to Edmonton Public Schools, you must register online.

Children who are five years old on or before December 31, 2026 (born in 2021) may register in Kindergarten for the 2026-27 school year.

For the 2026-2027 school year, Soraya Hafez will be a level 2 school with open boundaries on EPSB’s Growth Control Model.

Proof of Address

Additional documentation may be required, including additional address documents, or immigration documents for students who are not Canadian citizens. We are unable to accept property tax bills, driver's licenses, bank statements, mutual funds or retirement saving plans notices. We will accept the following:

  • electricity bill
  • natural gas bill
  • water, garbage pickup and sewer
  • mortgage document with proof of home insurance or
  • lease agreement with proof of tenant insurance

Childcare at Soraya Hafez School

Soraya Hafez YMCA Child Care
There is a YMCA Child Care right on site for students in Grades 1 to 6 at our school! Children who attend YMCA Child Care are curious about learning, excited about being active and learn how to be leaders in their community.
The research-backed YMCA curriculum is what sets YMCA Child Care apart. Children are guided to build friendships, explore their community and culture and delve into projects that spark their unique curiosity about the world. Each childcare space is an extension of your child’s family and community, where differences are celebrated. And after sitting in school all day, your child will have lots of opportunity to play outside and participate in active games.
Exciting and engaging full-day summer programs run throughout July and August for children going into grades 1 to 7! Children spend their summer igniting their creativity, exploring their community and staying active at YMCA Child Care summer programs.

PD Days, School Breaks & Summer Break | 7–6pm (all day)
Statutory Holidays & Easter Monday | Closed
